Freudenberg FCCT has been founded in February 2002 as an R&D company incorporating all activities of the Freudenberg-Group related to Fuel Cells (FC). The Freudenberg-Group is a highly diversified privately owned enterprise with net sales of about 4 billions euro and a workforce of about 30.000.

FCCT is a 100% affiliate of the sub-company Freudenberg New Technologies (FNT). Objective of FCCT is the development of fuel cell components with a focus on the development of stack seals, gas diffusion layer (GDL), filters and humidifiers. FCCT is fully supported by the different business units of the Freudenberg Group. The efforts converge on the aim of developing new technologies enabling quality-assured series production, achieving operational cost effiency along with the required technical functionality.
